Ville chose 3D because it brings together the things he cares about: art, technology and visual storytelling. It lets him move easily between client briefs and his own work.

His personal work is distinctly stylised, and that same sensibility runs through his client projects, shaped around what each brand is after. He’s at his best on briefs that need some real problem-solving.

Years in demanding productions show in Ville Vainio’s work. He brings textures to life beautifully, with surfaces and materials you almost want to reach out and touch.

Right now he is fascinated by real-world phenomena. He can spend hours studying how and why materials and objects look and behave the way they do, and he uses those observations as the starting point for images with his own perspective.
